suphew
I fenced my back yard, and put in a gate about neck height (my dogs just a terrier X). I then added 1.5 feet to the gate. Then I turned the gate round (he was using the cross brace for leverage). Then I sloped the extra top bit inwards. Then I added another sticking out bit. My gate is now over 6 foot and slopes back on itself by at least a foot, I have trouble getting through it...... and he still gets out He also thinks he's a great duck hunter
Rockerpeller
LOL I hope you meant that as a joke! Using a harness on a dog only increases their pull force and power.. Meaning he will no doubt pull pull the chain out of the ground and have a full run at things yea i was only joking. lol i have 2 pitbulls and i know what they are like with harnesses... walking 1 at a time is ok, but when you have them both, you're better off wearing rollerblades
FreedingFrenzy
man, that would be awesome "hunny, im taking the dog out for a bit of exercise" next then she sees you zooming past the window on rollerblades with the dogs metres ahead of you.. 1/2waysgood
Had a rottweiller here a few years ago that used to jump over the fence and say "Hi" to all the old ladies. (He ended up biting a jogger - whoops!) The landlord put an electic wire over the 3 foot fence which worked a treat. Well, almost. He learnt that when he was wet, ouch. When there was no moisture around, he'd be okay to jump. He was a great, loving dog, but as mad as a frik'n hatter. What I'm trying to get at, is there are always solutions to the problems our animals give us but sometimes it's a matter of thinking outside the spare wheel. There's been some great advice on here but you know your dog best. Try a few things and stick with what has the most impact for you and your dog. Oh, and I had a whippet as a child. Freakishly energetic, aren't they?
