fins
Hey How would you split a single airline, say 50 ways with even pressure going through each line? I dont think they make gang valves that big or would you have to use a whole lot of "T" joints? thanks
chimera
did you say 50 ways? how big is the airline?!!!
henry
again.. dont profess to have any experience in this field but.. large scale compressors that i've seen on retailers display tanks all seem to have a large air tube (much bigger than standard air pump tubing) that feeds the smaller ones. the air pressure required to adequately feed 50 separate lines would probably exceed that able to be carried in standard tubing. i'm intrigued.. what does this project involve?
minchton
if this is of any help to you I run 24 tanks off 1 large airpump. I have an ordinary garden hose (10M long) connected to the pump with plassey garden joiners punched in connecting each airline to the main hose. Air volume is controlled by clamps and once adjusted I have very few problems. the air is basically running undergravel filters in all tanks. Know this is not toally clear but hope it helps
kim
my shop is set up like how minchton has said with 4 garden hose as the big hose and then i run over 100 undergravels and airstones off that, i put them on 4way taps then joine them with another 4 way so thats 8 air lines i can use. if you need me to take a pic of how its set up let me know
fins
Hey minchton Are the plassey garden joiners punched into the garden hose and then the airline is attached to that? Also how much money did you get them for, and where from? thanks
minchton
yes youve got the idea. They come in packs of 10 and you can get them from any garden shop or from the warehouse. Forget how much exactly but about $3-$4 a pkt.
Joze
if you have the dexterity you could use cable ties. Be careful if you are using high pressure as hoses are Kpa rated and the wrong one can cause havoc.
