fattythecatty
I have an empty 30lt tank I'd like to set up for my Betta. He's a very placid boy, nothing flash to look at, just standard red but he's laid back with a nice personality. Currently he lives with young Kribs but they're at breeding age now and I'd like him to have his own pad!! Was thinking of housing him with a small school of Neons and a couple of Corys. Do you think this will work? I don't think he'll go after the Neons but having lived with the Kribs, he can take care of himself.
fish_fingers
He may go the Neons, have seen my own fighters chase, kill and eat Neons, maybe I should feed them more??? Some books also mention this. However, I know few people that have them together without any worries at all.
fattythecatty
Maybe I should go for a slightly bigger tetra, just thought those colours would look good.
Guest
I've had my male with neons and corys and they were fine. I'd say you should just try it and see if it works. If he is placid I don't think you'd have any problems.

Guest
Youy could always get cardinals as they look simaler to neons and are bigger (but they cost more as well)
