Slightly Blue Dalmation
yup they are worth every penny. sometimes it doesnt pay to be quite so cheap dixon like my nano didnt like temp changes at all so good heater was needed
tHEcONCH
What kind of heater is it? The most ive ever spent on 1 is aroun $25 lol. Yep, they cost more up front but they last, you can calibrate them, and remember marine stuff is a lot more sensitive to temperature change, so you have to buy a good one. As I've said earlier, there are no more corners to cut

tHEcONCH
Good Dixon. Honestly, marine stuff is so expensive that you really can't afford to use cheap components - and don't forget most marine fish come from the wild, so you have a moral obligation to look after them, including buying the best gear that you can afford. Dixon1990
Could a firefish, or a goby of somesort and a shrimp be kept in here?
tHEcONCH
I think so - a firefish, or a small wrasse, and or a cleaner shrimp. I plan on putting a Bangaii Cardinal in there. Check with John about what will be suitable.
wilson
yes it could dixon this kind of skimmer might work in there conch http://cgi.ebay.com/BioCube-Nano-Protei ... dZViewItem and its cheep two what do you think of it
Slightly Blue Dalmation
plus marine not cheap to replace if they do die and have to wait months til a new one came around plus they far too pretty to kill
Dixon1990
Clown Goby!!! Too bad they dont come in often
tHEcONCH
I don't think a skimmer would be that useful - water changes are the best way or removing nitrates etc, and replenishing other good nutrients, and its only three buckets worth anyway - probably easier than cleaning a skimmer and doing water changes (because you'll have to do changes anyway).
