livingart
2 thin pieces of mdf cut to fit as lids cut big matching holes in them then sandwich together with fly screen in the middle to cover the holes glue and screw togwther polyurethane mdf to stop water getting to it can screw plastic hinges to it and glue to glass to act as hinged lids or else cut holes in your polystyrene and glue insect screen on the under side P.S. mdf is medium density fibreboard

smeauwa
ditch all the soil set it up as an aquarium about 2 thirds full, heaps of valisnaria, under gravel filter rocks e,c,t they grow 4 times as fast in an aquatic setup. ditch the wingless fruit flys, feed em frozen bloodworms . white worms(no more than once a week) small earthworms e,c,t. fire belly newts are mostly aquatic n only go throug the terrestrial stage during hibernation it realy annoys me that that pet shops display n sell them in a terrestrial environment.
