SilverBlade86
Both pairs of my Kribs have babies at the moment. They are around 1cm at the moment, and each pair has at least 10 each. Should I wait longer till they are a bit older before I clean up? I have not been taking good care of my tank recently, I'm too busy with Uni, work and other stuff. SilverBlade86
Hey there, I was more worried of stressing the parents, as I do not want them to eat their second batch (I think the first batch was eaten by them, one day they just disappeared) . I'll just do a quick clean then. Thanks.
evilknieval69
I've completely stripped down a tank with kribs + small fry in it, caught them all (plus all the other fish in the tank) then put them into another tank (kribs + babys first, then the other fish) and they were sweet. Kribs are the best parents ever. no matter what i did they would always protect their fry. i even saw a large male BN trying to get their eggs once and they attacked him until he left
Stella
do a drain and fill waterchange from one spot, don't go in and properly clean. The waterchange is the most important part, they don't care about the mucky not-aesthetically-pleasing bits. That is what I do when I have newly captured fish, makes it less stressful on the fish but also keeps the water healthy.
SilverBlade86
Will do it tomorrow then, thanks.
Ianab
Yup.. partial water change is the most important. A bit of gunge and algae wont do any harm, as long as the water is fresh. Ian
