BlueMoon Posted March 3, 2008 Report Share Posted March 3, 2008 I just let my yellow with turquoise sheen crowntail female out of her little breeding trap in the breeding tank with my red with purple sheen crowntail male He is chasing her abit but franticly trying to build a bubble nest and she is very interested in him and what he is doing and is frequently going under the plastic lid 2 check out what hes doing Mite have my first lot of fighter babies soon :D male was in breeding tank for a week on his own, put the female in a guppy breeder trap thing for 2 days and she was very keen on him and was flairing back so I have let her out 2nite...... Hope im doing everything right... I have to big bottles of very green water ready for the babies first feeds! I am breeding them in a tank with black pebble substrate fully planted(but have cleared area of plants under the plastic lid im using. I will try this first and see how it goes, otherwise i have a big 90cm L breeding tank I am setting up which has a glass divider in the middle that is bare except for a spongefilter and heater. will add some live plants too for the female to hide in too.......
