raeh1
Today my clownfish spawned for the first time. Dirty old "Dirk and Jenna"  (thats their names) Now I need To see if I can raise them. I don't care about the money, I'm after the challenge. Does anyone know who I can ring, or have any links or advice. thanks
Ira
Well, first you have to get the proper food for them which is basically unavailable in NZ...
reef
When breeding it is best to get a book and get info from the professionals or from someone who has breed them. The hardest part is feeding the babies for the first week then it is easy. you can get rotifers and microalgae so its all available, When breeding it is best to get prepaired so i would flag this batch and do some homework. The clown will breed often anyway, also depends which clowns you have as some are harder than others.

Guest Anonymous
:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: congrats on the spawning :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: i was wondering if that stuff on TM ocean dose plankton would u be able to feed them on that? Yes, OceanDose's Phyto is a mixture of 3 strains of Phytoplankton commonly used by breeders Nano, Tet and Iso-G. If you can score some rotifers the phyto is an ideal food for them (and brine shrimp). However, culturing a mixed batch like he sells isn't a good idea as the Nano will out-compete the other strains and you will be left with only a single strain of Phyto.
