coelacanth
yep, its a synodontis (of the family Mochokidae, not Pimelodidae). They're from Africa.
SparkyNat
Thanks for that when i brought it was told it was an upsidedown catfish. When i saw it i knew it was obviously not but got it anyways but had no idea what it was  . Im not very bright when it comes to naming fish. I have a whole tank full of fish that i have no idea of what they are

coelacanth
the "true" (a better term might be "the original") upside-down catfish is Synodontis nigriventris but lots of the mochokids swim in an inverted manner and many of them are just loosely called upside-down cats in shops (especially if they don't know what species they are).
