Its not as simple as just working out its weight couriers go on volumetric weight which is worked out as L x W x H (in m) x 200 which will give you a volumetric weight in kg's which they will charge you for. I cut polyboxes down to around .30 x .29 (the 2 manufactured dimentions) and make it around .25 long so it works out to 4.35 volumetric kg's when once its packaged they usually only weigh 3kg's and if they were any bigger they would still weight 3kg's but they would charge for 10kg's freight due to volume and it costs twice as much. Most shipping companies charge in 5kg lots either actual weight (if your item is small and heavy) or volumetric weight (if your item is big and light ie a polybox) so either way they get ya Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
