If you just want to put it into a tank to lower pH or whatever then the bright yellow bales of hauraki gold peat are fine, but if you are wanting to spawn killies or something then jiffy pots are better. alanmin4304 Posted January 28, 2008 Report Share Posted January 28, 2008 You can get very high quality paletised German peat from Pet World in Smiths St. If you put it through a coffee grinder and boil it is an ideal media for grindal worms or in a bag and boil it and it is good for adding the goodies to rainwater for spawning tetras or killies.
