Alan
Why not research the needs of both types of fish. Especially the pH needs. Alan
kim
i have seen it done before, as long as you dont have a ph over 7.5 but then you have to keep an eye on both fish as they do like different ph's. but it has been done so its up to you 8)
Caryl
Just because it has been done doesn't mean you should. I don't think it is fair on the fishes.
kim
i dont think it right as well , but i have seen it done and some people put some fish together that i would never dream of or want to and it works. some of the african like a lower ph, i knew someone that dived in the lakes and tested the water to see what it was really like and yes the ph was high but in some parts the ph was very very low!! i will see if i can get a report, this guy works for jbl and he dives all over the world testing water and seeing if the fish in the wild eat the food they are making (what a job)
tamboe2001
id say get a large cl and should have no dramas ive seen it done with all types of cichlid americans, tangs and malawis with no dramas at all and just like other fish cl will adjust to higher ph levels
