Naz_Nomad
I don't suppose anyone can recommend a good agricultural shop that sells that there stuff farmers use for dams that I can use as a cheaper-than-the-garden-shop pond-liner. In Auckland or mail order? And what's the stuff called properly so I can continue my goolging? Cheers guys.
Caryl
I think it is a heavy grade polythene liner?
jn
Try the yellow pages and look up irrigation supplies.. sometimes those poeple also do pumps and stuff for pond and dams. You can also try PGG-Wrightsons the farm suppliers. You might also be able to look up 'water garden' on google (NZ sites) and it might bring up a few specialist places. I think theres a place called stone and water world and a place galled wrights water gardens, the might have the stuff. (Or can at least tell you exactly what you need and then yo ucan price compare once you know what you're after.
John Rimbauer
I managed to get a roll of 250 micron black polythene from a plumbing supplies warehouse. This makes an excellent heavy duty pond liner, I've done 3 out of it and none have breached over the past 5 years. That's even with the cats tromping all over it to drink the water! tonka
Get proper pond liner . Stone and water world , Marua rd , Ellerslie , would be your best option.
minchton
go to any farm supplies shop and get a silage pit cover. 15 metres by 5 metres approx $48. This is better than any pond liner that you will buy. I have had mine down for 5 years without any problem.
