Recommended Posts

Ive been breeding my Striatum at about 24 through winter/spring but have have 10 to 1 in favour of females. With out want to be sexest, I want more males and the Dallas forum has found that breeding at a higher temp produces more males.

any thoughts?

Hi Barrie,

I have also read somewhere that lower temp. produce more females which goes for several species.

I have noticed the latest Nothos have produced more males, where I have stored the eggs at 24C to 28C.
