SparkyNat
Wanting to try and catch alot of red ramshorn snails i have in our guppy tank prob have a couple of hundred of them in there now  . Was going to make some sort of trap like a container with bait in it with tiny holes so the fish carnt get in but snails can. Has anyone else made something similar or have any ideas? Robert Smith
I made a trap using a small glass bottle (with a neck smaller than the fish, they like the bait too!) with nylon fishing line tied around the neck. I put a bit of cucumber in the bottom of the bottle and drop pedt into the tank each evening and the next morning pulled it out with a few snails, repeat until you've got them all. This did work, but was not 100% effective. I usually digitally grabbed as many as I could (and those I could quite grab I just squashed). firefish
When I put zucchini in my tanks for my GBAs, the snails eat it too, so when I see that the zucchini has lots of snails on, I take it out and dispose of the snails. I weight the zucchini down with a spoon.
purplecatfish
I used a JBL snail trap (and loaches). It worked well and now it's used for catching baby bristlenoses.
