firefish
Well i have 1 male and 1 female GBA that i'm wanting to breed, but I was wondering if others found that having them as a trio (2 females and 1 male) produced greater sucess rate on getting offspring. Any opinions on this?
Billaney
I find that if you get a good male and a good female you don't need a third , that said i have breed GBA's in pairs and groups .
FuglyDragon
I actually find having 2 males keeps the dominant one 'on top of his game'. I have also noticed that when 2 males are present they seem to develop better bristle growth. Sometimes 2 females is ok, sometimes the females fight non stop. Just make sure there are plenty of caves to go around.
firefish
thats an interesting point that I hadn't thought of! I used to have 2 brothers in the tank but they started fighting and I separated them, but the other brother died I have knoticed what I think is eggs in the female, so fingers crossed! Unfortunatly for the breeding side of things, I'm going away for most of Jan and I won't be able to see if they have breed...
Simian
At what size do BN start to mature sexually? I have some medium sized ones that I still am unsure of sex.

BK
Was having no luck with a pair in a 2' with the male kicking the eggs out of the cave a day or 2 short of hatching so added second pair and they are both going at it with 2 spawns and 2 more batches of eggs on the go
