malawiman
Almost done setting up first part of new fish room. Will have 16 tanks running when completed. 3 x 4 foot, 1 x 3 foot and 12 x 2 foot. Bigger room will have 1 x 8 foot, 4 x 4 foot , 2 x 5 foot and some random ones if I have enough room. Here is some pictures of what I've done so far: http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k61/m ... 0_0813.jpg http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k61/m ... 0_0810.jpg http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k61/m ... 0_0814.jpg http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k61/m ... 0_0819.jpg http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k61/m ... 0_0817.jpg http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k61/m ... 0_0816.jpg http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k61/m ... 0_0819.jpg

ryanjury
Looking good man What sort of insulation/heating are you using? And do you have anything on the floor to stop the concrete loosing heat? The only reason I ask is im still fine tuning my fishroom.. I think I need some of those metal stands could fit alot more tanks..
henward
that is a crazy ass room@! you breeding? or just a massive collection with lots of tanks?
malawiman
Ryan Used 25 mm poly to insulate walls, basement build with concrete blocks so that serves as insulation as well. Nothing on floor yet, will put rubber mats on floor when done. Have 3 tanks on shelve running back to sump and one 200 watt heater in each sump. This gives me option to change water parameters for different fish when breeding them. Have some tanks setup separate without heating and temp is around 24 deg Celsius without heating it. When done both rooms will be heated by heat pump and heaters will be backup in case heat pump goes down.
malawiman
Henward Started out with a couple tanks and grew to what I've got now. Used to breed fish in SA and got back into now. I keep them and if they happy they breed. Added bonus to sell some of the fish to pay for food etc.
