camnbron
Hmm, see thats where I think there is a bit of confusion. Thats why I started a new topic to allow people who have run a Deep Sand Bed an opportunity to share with the rest of us their experiences. Also to ensure Jasmines topic doesn't get hijacked http://www.fnzas.org.nz/fishroom/looking-for-tanks-running-deep-sand-beds-vt27070.html

Jasmine
Ok guys, I've decided once all my african cichlids are sold off, I'll be turning that tank into a reef tank. It's 120 long x 55 wide x 60 high. Would the light currently on it be ok though? It's a double bulb which you can switch each one on/off seperately. Obviously would need more powerful bulbs for it. Or are Hallides the only option?

Jasmine
Sorry I am of no help, but that is a nice tank Thank you, my boss gave me his old tank and stand for Xmas many years ago, except the tank cracked a couple months later along the bottom. I only recently got a tank to replace it, from a kind member here, I swapped for a 1metre tank I recieved which I had been told was 1.4metres. And this tank fits the stand PERFECTLY. Was amazing.
