georgeous
Hey I was just wondering, what temperature does everyone keep their angels at?? Thanks
IOU1
Angels like higher temperatures, probably 25 degrees minimum and 27 degreees maximum. Anywhere inbetween is OK, I don't currently have any but when I did I kept mine at about 26 degrees. Hope this helps
georgeous
Hey Thanks for the the advice, ATM mine are at 27 degrees, even tho the heater is set at 26... stupid cheap imports
Caryl
The readings on heaterstats are never accurate. It has nothing to do with them being imports.

Aquagold
Mine currently don't have a heater and are doing fine, pairing up and laying....
MrEd
My Altums bred at 26. Must have been a worry in the quake Aquagold .... I know I'd be scarpering mighty smartly if a quake struck my fish room. Interesting to know how many people strap their tanks for such an event? Keep in mind also I have 4 thermometers and all read slightly different (1.5 deg), 3 digital and one mercury .... I go by the mercury one! AMAZONIAN
Hi All, For what it's worth, I keep and breed "ALL" my six colour varieties of angel's and my Altum's at "ROOM TEMPERATURE". The Thermostats in the tanks may be set to 26 degrees, but the fish room temperature can, and does reach 30.9 degrees which overrides the thermostats in the tanks. I have no trouble at all breeding any of my Angel's as any Nelsonian can tell you.  If it works for you then it isn't broken so don't start trying to fix it. Good luck
ryanjury
Agreed my fish are in a heated room now and temp varies from 24 some cold nights (usually 26) up to 30 on a hot day (generally max 28) the only fish with a constant temp are the discus.. Everything else is fine dont stress too much, obviously if your fish are showing discomfort or gasping at the surface its too hot but if they're all happy and healthy leave them be
