And I have 2 discus in a 120L tank atm but its only half full have treated them with metro just in case, and I only do weekly water changes on them with cold water straight from the tap.. They're sweet so far
jolliolli
dimebag, both jollijolli and you have said this, what is classed as adult for a discus and what is lightly stocked? sorry adodge hadn't been checking the thread so didn't see your question. I've got 5 discus in ,my tank they range from around 10cm to around 17cm long and there would be enough space for another. Also in with them is around 20 tetras (cardinals and neons, many ppl comment that neons die at high temps but i haven't had a problem so far), two dwarf gouramis, 1 golden gourami, 4 SAEs, 2 BNs and 4 sterbai corys. I have the tank temp at around 28 - 29 degrees and waterchange 40%a week straight from the tap (but i use a water change to make sure its the same temp going in as the tank). I would agree with everyone else and say around 40L per discus (esp when you take in to account plants etc). I'd buy 4 or 5 around the same size to spread out the aggression at around 10cm
Adrienne
Just got back from picking up the tank in Hastings - 6hrs each way. Need to clean it up, varnish it etc and I'll be posting some pics and asking questions about the bits that came with it under technical. Am thinking 5? discus, 6 kribs, 2-4 rams, and some sort of cat fish. Are they compatible.
dimebag
kribs can be nasty when breeding, what kinds of cats are you looking at?

Adrienne
my female is pretty stroppy when the eggs get to about 3 days, won't let the male near but they don't seem to spawn when other fish are in tank. if problems I'll move the kribs out.
