georgeous
Hey, i have a pair of breeding angels in a bare-bottomed tank with two pots for laying on. Last time they laid (ok the only time), the eggs were laid on the side closest to my heater. Any ideas as to why this is?? Cheers
tHEcONCH
It may have been due to the water currents created by the convection, or because they were more 'hidden' from the fish's point of view, but in all probability it is not significant. Cichlids tend to lay on the best available site, but they aren't too fussy.
Caryl
Most often you can put things for them to lay on and they will go and lay on everything BUT the thing you wanted them to  My son's angels have spawned ON the heater a few times
