wilson
well because i love xenia so much i thought i would propagate xenia how would be the best way to do this. i have been doing it a bit in the past few months with limited success often a few frags go missing within a few days (i think eaten) i cut an arm off the parent colony let it find a resting spot and let it join onto the coral sand then after a few days i super glue the sand its on to a small bit of live rock is this the best way of doing it? also if any one has xenia of any colour or type to get me started that would be greatly appreciated cheers wilson
coelacanth
just remember, cutting an arm off a parent only works in the aquarium....
wilson
 will it count if i find a 8 foot tank put my parents in then cut off an arm  i could do with an extra person to order me around
davidb
I cut a branch off and rubber band it onto a small coral rock, making sure that most of the branch is in a crevice so that the rubber band does not just cut the whole way through before the xenia attaches... Thats the way i do it and I know most others do it that way too
Sapphire
I've got xenia that need pruning - I think you know the ones I have. If you're interested let me know. In fact I may also have one a piece of rock spare once I get my new corals in tonght. I also found a xenia video on You Tube: (hope the link works).
