Sapphire
Our one hasn't shown the slightest bit of interest in the other tank inhabitants. maybe there was uneaten food or something else of interest in the hole?
Fmxmatt
lol sounds like we've ended up with a batch of killer brittlestars!!! If I lose another tank inbabitant, I am going to make the assumption that it was the brittlestar, and move that little bastard to a new home Or maybe cutting off his little arms might be a better punishment? That'll learn it!
wilson
i almost pulled off a few arms when i pulled it out of the tank and chucked it in a ice cream container i put it back in the tank tho after it got a big feed
markoshark
Heh, i overfeed my tank quite a bit, so I know its getting food from that

Sapphire
That's awful   nothing of ours has been touched - we are feeding it though (some chopped mussel, and it gets some stray brine shrimp off the sun corals) Is it time to say goodbye to it then? Sapphire
Yes hard to know I agree. Do you feed the brittle star directly?

Fmxmatt
Looking awesome, was stoked to have them cuz they were such a cool colour And I've fed the brittlestar once, and i'm assuming its eaten the blenny body
tHEcONCH
   All my new Violet Zoas are gone!!! What!?!?!?? All of them! They could have detached and floated off somewhere - I'll got a couple of bits that just won't attach anwhere and travel around the tank. Fmxmatt
I thought maybe that would happen, but I glued the buggers to a rock, and if I look closely, theres still a bit left on the rock. I guess its possible it happened but since mysterious happenings have been going on since the introduction of Mr Brittlestar, he's under suspicion! tHEcONCH
It could be that it has knocked them off as it looks for food around them - I'd check for them in the back corners of your tank and under overhangs where there is little water motion all shriveled up in the dark. Fmxmatt
Nope But I found a pure white zoa in with a clump of the brown ones that I relocated from the original cluster, I'm assuming its dying? (The rest look fine)
tHEcONCH
Possibly, or else if its also small its a new one
Fmxmatt
Oh they actually come as pure white? it looks cool and it opens and closes as though its healthy
tHEcONCH
They often colour up later, or else it may have purged all of its Zooanthellae (sp?) when it was moved - if it opens and closes, it will be fine.
