Sapphire
That's the one - thanks Wilson you've saved me a job!! What did you feed yours (apart from green star polyps!)?

Sapphire
Well we bought some mussel last night and fed the brittlestar. Once the mussel was put in it only took a minute or so to come out and devour it - it ate more than I thought it would! everything fine this morning. wasp
When I got rid of my green brittlestar after I saw it nearly eat a fish, the other reason was cos I was feeding it so much it was causing pollution to the tank. In fact it was eating more than everything else in the tank combined. I was feeding it so much to try to keep it away from the fish but it never really got full & always kept trying to catch them regardless. Sapphire
No it's been fine - i've just feed it a bit of chopped mussel once a week or so. Seems to happy now - it doesn't rush over now when we feed the sun corals either.
Zhacque
.... although it got the blame from me at 3 this morning for 'eating' our coral banded shrimp (Jacques) after I saw Jacques' lifeless (and meatless) corpse on the other side of the rock the brittle star was hiding under.... ummm, Jacques had shed his outer armour, he was fine..!!!! Upset me though!

markoshark
.... although it got the blame from me at 3 this morning for 'eating' our coral banded shrimp (Jacques) after I saw Jacques' lifeless (and meatless) corpse on the other side of the rock the brittle star was hiding under.... ummm, Jacques had shed his outer armour, he was fine..!!!! Upset me though! The first time it happens, you don't realise it. Just looks like the shrimp has died, because the shell still has colour, and then, you see it alive and become HAPPY! Fmxmatt
My 2 did the same, and I knew they would shed shortly after being transported..... but there was still that little bit of worry which made me go hunting for them with the torch. Fmxmatt
Shall I call my Yellow Tang Bubbles then?
Zhacque
Shall I call my Yellow Tang Bubbles then? That's your choice! The Nemo Jacques was a cleaner shrimp! Our sponge is called Bob and our little star that used to be called Patrick split in two, now Pat and Rick! That's Sapphire's idea!
davidb
haha My Blue Linkia star is called Patric too 8)
Fmxmatt
I've always wanted to call a dog "sh*thead" Just for the sole purpose of being at the park and screaming "COME HERE SH*THEAD!!!!" I got the idea from a Steve Martin movie
Southerrrngirrl
This thread makes me want a marine tank. But that would be an extremely bad idea for me. I have no clue about marine fish, except for Nemo is a clownfish  Are these things star fish?? They are so cool.
davidb
Are these things star fish?? They are so cool. No they are not starfish (Scientifically speaking) but they are very similar...
Sapphire
Shall I call my Yellow Tang Bubbles then? Maybe! We take terms naming things, but there is one rule - no fish is going to be called nemo!
Fmxmatt
After the incident where my clown jumped out of the tank and headbutted me, its earnt the name "Zero" Who can decipher that one?
