Barrie
Rough? is it a nipped edge or not dead flat? Photo?
kd123
It certainly isnt dead straight. It has been nipped. I will just make it the top edge as it will be hidden by the hood.
ryanjury
If the glass isn't straight and smooth it will create a weakness in it, I brought a tank once it would have been around 5 years old had a hood etc on it and plastic edges around the tops of the glass one morning woke up to the tank emptying on to the kitchen floor.. Couldn't figure out why until I took the top edges off and noticed there was a chip out of the glass where it broke it had been together for 5 years or so at a guess going sweet but for some reason it just broke.. If its rough I would try and smooth it out or get a new one cut even making sure its at the bottom would mean its less likely to flex but still not ideal..
