jjay3
I have just lost my lovely Oranda. I would like to know for furture reference what I need for 1. Gill Flukes(he didn't have these) and 2.Internal parasites.(I think he may have had this) I have the usual stuff you can get from the fish supplies(melafix/white spot/tonic/salts etc) but would like to get whatever I may need for the future. Or at least know what to go get. Most sites tell me all the neat American drugs they have and we don't!!! Thanks.
qichai
1. Gill Flukes (Formalin or Condys Crystals) 2.Internal parasites (Metronidazole) Use them with care.

jim r
Does anyone have the magic formula for prazi, eg. grammes per litre?
jn
2 mg/l ....anywhere up to 10mg/l apparently. Frenchy here recommends 2mg/l for 3 days in a row with no w/c's in between. then change at 1 week and redose as above for maybe 3 weeks at your normal sort of temp. The lifecycle depends on the temperature. Eggs hatch more slowly when the temp is cooler so treatment takes longer.
purplecatfish
http://www.fnzas.org.nz/fishroom/drontal-droncit-praziquantel-adtape-amp-gill-flukes-vp260591.html I've used levamisole for internal parasites but it will depend on what the parasite is.
