Dixon1990
you could try BGK that would be cool. Not many people have bred them http://bgk.proboards3.com/index.cgi?board=bgk&action=display&thread=1081078116
David R
cheers for that afrikan .do know of any fish that odd ball that i can give a go at breeding must be abel to breed in a five hunderd liter tank?? Senegal bichir? Possibly ornates depending on the dimensions of the tank. They do take a few years to reach maturity tho. Uaru's could be considered oddball, and [for cichlids] aren't that commonly bred, same goes for frontosa.
anthony law
the tank is 1800*600h*700w how many years dose it take to reach maturity.bichir? i dont mind if it take a year to reach breeding what a uaru.s??? bgk maybe. Will email you a breeding report from the net of sexual maturity of different bichirs... so you can check out the senegalus

David R
Have a look here and check out the "Polypterids an introduction and primer", loads of useful iinfo, and some on sexing and breeding. There's been a few threads about breeding, so doing a search would also be a good idea.

Afrikan
Ever thought about giving Jurupari a go? They have been bred before however they are a bit of a challenge... fabulous fish... A bit of a wait for them to sexually mature but well worth the effort.

If you're talking about bichirs, then its usually the other way around. Pleco's will often develop a taste for the bichirs slime coat and rasp it.
