Kiwi_John
I've been battling these for the last two years. I kill all the ones I can see using Joes Juice but they just keep coming back. I reckon that over the last two years, I've killed six or seven a week at least. That's six or seven hundred of the little blighters. There must be an easier way. Anyone have any suggestions? tHEcONCH
Start over Unless you get them all, they'll keep reproducing. I understand some fish will eat them too (I don't know which).

reef
what is your tank conditions like? they grow in tanks that have too much waste or if you feed too much frozen foods.
JoeBlog
I think one of my angels eats mine (Blue Face, Majestic, and/or Swallowtail). Never actually witnessed it, but I used to have heaps prior to their addition. After their addition, I have NONE in the tank, but heaps in the overflow (I mean PACKED when I'm on top of my feeding regime, which is fine with me since they consume any extras). I think it is in one of Calfo's books where he talks about using them as a natural filtration mechanism.

wasp
Yes it is amazing how they pop up. I've just set up a QT tank with a small amount of aptaisia free rock from my own tank, plus one rock from somewhere else that had a few aptaisia. I killed all the ones I could find on it, but now there are aptaisia popping up all over the tank, they must walk around. I'm with Joe Blogg and Slappers, some of the angels eat them. Another thing you could try is doing a few rocks at a time hyposalinity, long as there are no corals on them. But long term you may be best with a fish that eats them, problem solved.
