Slightly Blue Dalmation
how would maybe a pair of angels and pair of discus go in a 3long,1wide,2high tank?
SpidersWeb
Angels are known to carry worms/disease that may result in the death of your Discus. Angels can be quite aggressive when spawning, and at the 30 degrees temp that the discus should have, you'll have randy angels if they are or become a breeding pair. Also having only 2 discus is a bad idea on its own unless they are a breeding pair due to aggressiveness, I think 5 is the magic number? So it can definately be done, but isn't recommend (by me at least).
tHEcONCH
It depends a little on the age of each and if they are a true mated pair, but I don't think it is such a good idea. They are both territorial and can get aggressive during 'mating season', and the Angels are also greedy feeders so the Discus might struggle to get enough food - given the size of the tank I'd recommend sticking to the Angels only. Slightly Blue Dalmation
ahh ok was just a thought, just doing a bit of tank planning before i actually get the tank hehe, any ideas to go with angels well?
tHEcONCH
You could try Blue Rams, any of the tetras (larger scholls of them always look great), Hatchets etc. Check out what the shops hold in their tanks with Angels and you'll get a fairly good idea. Slightly Blue Dalmation
yeah i was thinking few hatchets and rocket pencils for top, cory and loach on bottom, but not sure about something for schooling in middle, something cool
tHEcONCH
Any of the tetras look good in larger number (20+) so whatever catches your eye, really.
