Caryl Posted February 24, 2004 Report Share Posted February 24, 2004 You should have found out all the answers before you got the fish! They are a cichlid from Lake Tanganyika and grow to around 8cm. andyman98 Posted February 24, 2004 Author Report Share Posted February 24, 2004 they were sold to me as morphs and they were $2.95 each so it didn't matter too much i do have a big enough aquarium.any clues to as why they would swim up and down the one glass side with out background on it? herefishiefishie Posted February 25, 2004 Report Share Posted February 25, 2004 You might want to buy more, as 4 is too small a colony for tropheus,you will find you could end up with just 1!! Should have 10 to 20 for a colony as males get very agro towards others so the more the better. :evil: Give them a high vegie diet as in the wild they are algae eaters. Spirilina flakes & the like..... no red meat, they will get bloat. The movement on the glass is more than likely them eating at the algae growing on it.
