Vallisneria + turtle?

Recommended Posts

I'm building a new pond for my turtles (yeah, in the middle of winter) and was thinking of planting Vallisneria in there.

I know turtles will probably eat them but will that affect them in a negative way???? Hope to plant more than they can eat if possible

I dnt see it having any negative affect the turtles should like it (eat it) I would be interested to know how u get on in the long run!

Could maybe plant japanese rush (acorus g. variegatus) around the edge of the pond, sorta likes to be semi submerged (roots wet leaves dry etc) just an idea!
