michael.qian
Hi this morning I've noticed 2 small red worms in my gravel, about 1cm or less in length, very thin, they were wriggling beneath the gravel against my glass. There's a thread a few slots beneath this one, started by me and will tell you what kind of tank & fish I have and what I'm planning to add. Tried googling but couldn't find too much info, advices here would be much appreciated, how would I remove them etc? I am quite worried right now is it neccessary? There are most definitely more than the 2 I saw. Thanks
alanmin4304
Sounds like tubifex worms. The fish should enjoy eating them.

Whiskas
I have had these both in my pond and in my tank. They don't appear to cause any problems and teh fish do eat them. If you get over run you can remove them with your stones and rinse under hot water, that kills them.
alanmin4304
Don't worry about them as it is not that many years since every pet shop down here was selling live tubifex worms and we were getting more selling them to the shops than the farmers were getting for prime steak.
