animal_lover
Hi everyone I have 2 little (around 3cm) Golden Leopard Corys and was wondering if I would be able to tell if they are male or female yet and how to tell also. One is quite a lot chubbier then the other and slightly bigger. Thanks Hayley
acara
Hi Hayley Do you know what the latin name for them is?From what I've read on this forum, you guys back home there seem to use some different common names to what we use over here. Generally with corys, the females are a bit plumper than the males. There are other differences though. Dave
caserole
They should be Corydoras sturbai. Yes they will be sexable at 3cm, looking down on them is the best way.
coelacanth
look down on them from above. Females have a diamond shape, males a torpedo shape
animal_lover
If Im right then I would say I have a male and a female as one is quite alot plumper then the other which is nice and I agree I would say they are Corydoras sturbai. If I am right and they are opposite gender how big will they need to be if they decide to breed and what do they do? Thanks Hayley :bounce:
