nick777
Just got a Aqua one cf1200 for my 3ft turtle tank from PetPlanet, I've been having troubles setting media order, included media in the filter are: bioballs, ceramic noodles, course sponge (blue), fine sponge (black), filter wool. some people suggested order should be from 1. bottom bioballs, 2. course sponge then noodles, 3.fine sponge then wool. but is this ok with turtles? how do you guys set yours? Any help appreciated!!!
Gatito
that's how i have mine, except i have noodles underneathe coarse sponge, not on top. Works well for me
nick777
what about fine wool? wouldn't it block water flow considering the amount of mess turtle makes and bacteria growth on it?
Gatito
what about fine wool? wouldn't it block water flow considering the amount of mess turtle makes and bacteria growth on it? my fine wool just sits on the very top getting very dirty. I haven't had any flow problems yet No expert myself, but it's worjking for my tank

Adrienne
The wool being the final stage in the filter process stops any fine muck going back into the tank.. I have 4 of these and all are set up the same way as Gatitos filter. The wool just gets really mucky.
