Binkles
Who made up the name guppies - does it mean underwater rabbit or something? We're trying to decide which of the girls to put in the cage - or maternity hospital The two babies we do have are doing well though I'm going to try and set up my video camera on the fishies this week
Caryl
The guppy is also known as the millions fish - and not because it costs a lot!
Interfecus
If you don't want the babies then you can just leave them together and let nature take its course.

Yeah, the female will eat the babies (so will the other fish in the tank) so if you want to keep any I would suggest putting the female in a trap in the tank or in a different tank with heaps of plants. Binkles
I've put one of the 4 into the container but the two babies that were born I'm assuming last week are still doing well.

Bruce
I am not a great fan of traps, they stress the fish out you could end up losing the female before she gives birth, some java moss or similar in a larger tank has the same effect, the babies can hide in there to keep out of harms way. /Bruce
