je_suis_ketan
I purchased a couple of Red spotted Plecos from my LFS a couple of weeks ago and I have noticed that one of them has a faded patch on him where the coloration is "faded". I just thought that that was how my pleco is but...... this morning I noticed that this faded patch on him was gone and was at full colour, then about 20 min later it was slightly faded but not as much as he usually is. Does anyone else notice something similar on their Plec's? Or do you know why it might occur?

je_suis_ketan
He's 3 inches long and the bigger of 2 plecos in the tank. The substrate is a mixture of dark and light gravel, mostly on the light side though. Other tank mates include Dwarf and Pearl Gouramis, a male betta, 2 clown loaches and tetras. Ianab
Yup.. they seem to change colour depending on their mood. Sometimes it's a sign of stress, I guess the are in a bad mood, other times I can find no reason for it. Cheers Ian
