spangela
Afternoon everyone. My skimmer has stopped skimming?!?!?! It is still working as such with water going through it etc but it's not collecting any gunk. It has been like this for over a week and I have tried adjusting everything but no luck. Any ideas???? davidb
how long have you had it? was it an upgrade or first skimmer?
spangela
We have had it about 6 months we purchased it as an upgrade but don't have the old one to put on to do the job. Any ideas?
reef
take it back to the store you got it from. they should be able to fix it.
suphew
Are you still getting the same amount of bubbles?? It's not uncommon for the air feed lines to get blocked with salt, I pulled mine apart on the weekend and cleaned it out because the foam/bubbles had dropped right off. spangela
We are not getting any bubbles. Am going to give it a huge clean out today and see what happens.
TM
As others have said check the air intake and replace the pipe if need be. Sometimes it is just a salt buld up or even a carbonate. Sucking freshwater thru it can help to. Some people do this once a week or so.
dogmatix
Try a cup of boiling water through some air hose on the air intake, I have found that really hot water help better than cold fresh water (dont use water from the hot tap due to copper)
