farmchick
Would you believe 4 weeks?? Some may recall my post about the poor wee E.yellow that went on the hydroslide ride after someone knocked the end off the filter inlet pipe. Well, after a headcount there was a wee clown loach missing, I thought he must had met a gruesome end in someones jaws as I couldnt see him anywhere, not in the filter, not in the tank and not stuck under a rock or anything. :-? Last night, my filter was noisy and the flow wasnt so flash so I turned it off to start pulling it apart and who should be looking at me through the pipe???? Nemos stunt double. I thought he was very dead and even gave him a little squeeze after which he gave a little wriggle and did the clown loach frown! After releasing him from his plastic prison back into the tank he promptly joined his mates and Im sure was still talking about his plastic safari expedition this morning!!! He is a little smaller than his mates and has lost a bit of colour but is surprisingly very healthy!! Fingers crossed he stays that way

Chazza404
heh i was moving some loaches to a different tank and had to take out my main log to get at them easier, after having the log sitting on the ground for 5 minutes and removing all wood and loaches i discovered i was 2 clown loaches short, i checked the log and couldnt see anything so whacked it against the ground a few times at each end nothing came out except some snails and then i looked inside and saw one loach just lying there, i touched it and it was still alive so quickly put it into the new tank, i still couldnt see the remaining one so put the log back into the tank and left it till morning and there he was i was quite impressed by them and their survivability. so clown loaches for the win big logs with alot of caves and hiding places for the loss
SpidersWeb
 Tell the bf to add 'intake strainer' to your birthday wishlist!! Congrats to Lucky the Loach  Should be in the guiness book of fish records or something. Most interesting thing I found in my filter was pond snails which is kind of like playing lotto for 20 years and winning $5. Clown loach is more of a jackpot
