alanmin4304
I don't think it would matter if the water was only in there a short time. I use food grade drums for collectig rainwater as they should not leach. Other drums don't have to meet the same standard.
Joze
if its foam marker you can neutralise it with bleach as both marker and herbicide is acid based and designed to be neutralised with hypochloride (IE common household bleach) or any other strong alkali. Using bleach as a neutraliser does work as spray equipment has to be neutralised to keep the seals, gaskets and washers from rotting. When you have a $10 000 spray unit a set of seals can set you back $1000. Bleach and chlorine can easily be neutralised using UV radiation in under 24 hours. Blackadder
They're not all acidic, thats one of the reasons you can't mix some herbicides together. I don't know if bleach or alkali would make much of a difference in a well rinsed drum, but I guess it can't hurt
