Apistogramma Viejita

Hi

I got a pair of Viejitas as a present after I lost some fish recently. I put them in with my Eunotus and they all seem to be happy. The past couple a days the female did not show at feeding time and tonight I started searching for her.

I found her hiding in a flowerpot and after getting a torch to have a better look I found some wrigglers at the bottom. There is no way of moving them and I don't know how old they are. Suppose they only a couple of days old. They are in a 120L tank with some other Apistos.

Anybody bred these before? Do I feed them BBS once free swimming and/or greenwater?

Any help and advice welcome.:bow:

An update. Have about 8-10 freeswimming fry. :bounce: :bounce: They are real small and mum and dad are proud parents and tend to them well.:bow:

Took some pics, but not that good. Need to get a better camera with zoom.

My dolphins were also spawning this morning and I managed to get a couple of pics.

Thanks, they growing fast and some are about 30mm. I've had another batch and they are about 10mm now. Have about 100 fry and another female holding now.

The dolphins are really going for it now. I have 2 females that breed and think I might have one male and 3 females. The smallest of the 4 have not spawned yet, so might be male/female.
