fattythecatty
What's the best way to go about this without sucking up the fry? Cheers.

Mel1708
With my betta fry I used airline hosing with the bendy part of a straw attatched to the end. The flow is slower and a narrower suction area - i sucked up less fry that way. Once I cleaned the bottom I just scooped out water from the surface to make up the amount I wanted to change. Then checked the bucket for any fry before tipping the water out. I used this way and it has been really effective with betta fry (slightly smaller then livebearers). fattythecatty
I'm gonna have a go later today. Going to keep the syphon down in the gravel as most of the fry are hanging out in the floating plants although they are starting to swim all over the tank now, they still live with mum, dad and 2 aunties but the big guys seem to have lost interest in eating them now. Boy, it's gonna be 1 overcrowded tank soon!!
