Afrikan
After looking around the net I found the odd bit of info on the Garra's, they are a West African Algae Eater.. (not sure on the bumblebee striped species, but other Garra's get to around the 6cm mark) Hope this is of some help
jamestothemax
hey i think the ones that are bumble bee gara over here are more commonly known as "panda" gara or "garra flavatra" so if you have a search for that there should be a lot more info. Afrikan
Thanks for that God it was so hard finding info on these things, especially when they came in with a common name as usual, (no Sci name attached) The pic definately looks like what has come in Thanks so much once again.. shadowfax
anyone else have some of these? i now have 2 & just watched one jump up out of the water & cling onto the glass, stayed there for awhile before sliding back down
bdspider
They are good jumpers. Was very amusing watching my boyfriend's one trying to jump out of his bag when he was being introduced to the tank. They can jump really high!
ljtan55
I've got 3 of them, they seem to graze on the algae, but eat pellet food as well. Awesome things quite shy, but they get used to you quite quickly and do play fights. They seem to like the company of each other, even though they bump each other a lot. they're in a low light tank about 25 degrees, ph 6.0 with 2 wild bettas and a borneo sucker, and they seem to be happy. shadowfax
yeah they are usually hanging around each other & are in a tank with some bn's & neons, they dont seem to like sinking food unless its the spirulina tabs.
