evilknieval69
Just any normal spray on paint. For 'normal' tanks i just use a matt black, but for my marine tank i used marine blue. Clean the areas you are painting with some turps or something similiar, then let it dry completely, then newspaper and mask the rest of the tank off and spray the tank lightly, but do lots of coats. This is the way i have had great success with
Alan
I used blackboard paint when I have done that. Alan
suphew
Just needs to be an oil based paint (spray cans are) but any old oil based paint will work. Best if you do lots of light coats but if you cant see the outside of where your painting it doesn't matter, you wont see the runs.

Blackadder
I used a water based paint on mine and that worked fine as well. I would probably scratch off easier than oil based paint, but you don't get much wear round the back and sides of your tank once you have it in place.
