shadowfax
i think my fry are about 5 weeks old, how old are the when you can tell what sex they are & should the females be seperated as soon as you can tell?? I would like to breed them & have read that keeping the females away from the males helps them grow faster & produce more fry, true or false??? thanks. shiuh
i separate mine at 4 weeks age. at this age, females starting developing gravid spot (if you look carefully). if you are unsure of the sexes, put the unsure ones with the males. this way all virgin females will be true. Alan
You can do it within days of their birth, Just look for the ones with the gravid spot showing and the shiny tummies are the boys. But keep a watch on the boys, cause you may have missed the odd girl or two. Alan
