Krama
this was taken at the zoo, with my phone camera, so given the situation etc, it does the job. It is a powder blue Naso, how do I get one of these?
skippy
Take a plastic bag to the zoo hidden in your pocket Seriously though, don't know but be interested to know if you do find out
Krama
worth a try... What about reef, I have heard that he imports.
lduncan
Just looks like a plain blonde naso to me. Typically the blonde Naso's come from the Red Sea and are harder to get (more expensive), while the normal "black" Naso's come from Hawaii. Are you sure that's what they called it - powder blue Naso? Krama
no, that is the name I gave it, when I have talked about a blonde Naso, the feed back I get is they seem to only come in grey? This one was a bright powder blue. Mj
lduncan
dunno, exactly. Maybe a hybrid? Hybridisation is relatively common with Acanthurus spp. tangs (like powder browns, white check etc), But I would find it hard to believe an Acanthurus spp. would hybridise with a Naso spp. though. reef
The lighting would have have made the fish more blue as you cant get them in a blue colour. They use lots of blue t5 lighting.

rossco
You musta missed seeing the one in Ardie's tank a few months back!
Krama
Thanks Gannet Initially I thought it was a powder blue tang, because of the colours, but if you look at its face, it is a Naso face. If some one is going to the zoo sometime, maybe a second opionion would help, as to the colour.... might settle for a powder blue tang, my wife likes the colour...
