ludimac
Hi there all. i'm hoping someone out there can help me, i have bought a second hand AR-620 (for convicts one day) and on getting it home i discovered the filter is a wee bit different to my AR-980. there are no black spongy things in it and only a few of those round noodle things, should there be some in there? i tried to e-mail the guy i got it from but so far he hasn't replied and don't wanna put any water in till i know it's safe.also i can see through the slats under the noodle things and there is nothing there. can someone please tell me what the filter looks like in their 620. also the guy gave me another " filter" and he says it lies down on the top bit but i have no clue how. sry i can't put a photo up yet but it has 3 tubes, shaped like a w and the tubes at either side have holes in them and there is a really skinny tube running up the side of the middle tube. sigh any help would be much appreciated
camnbron
Hey there ludimac, I inherited my mothers AR620 (about 4 years old) a few months back, and since it had been sitting in the garage doing nothing for a few years she chucked the filter internals out. All I did was locate a pet shop that sold Aqua one gear and got new stuff - Noodles, black sponge, and the charcoal and filter wool cartridge. Just make it the same as your AR980 - no point re-inventing the wheel I reckon. Cam
Afrikan
Hi ludimac It should be exactly the same as the 980 however different pad sizes.. Single spray bar over black pads, which is over a sponge pad then over your noodles. Then there is the plate. Hope this is of some help
