candy Posted November 16, 2006 Report Share Posted November 16, 2006 i have a male betta that is happly living in one of my tanks but has become very fat in the last few weeks, its not dropsy as he has no pincone scales or anything, still eating and swiming fine, couler has not changed... i thorght he might just be consepated so tryed the whole no food for a few days then a pea trick but nuthing has happened.. all the other fish are fine.. does anyone have any ideas about what it could be.. its like a little ball hanging where his tummie should be and if it hits the light it looks like its full of fluid or clear stuf. will try get a pic Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
sharn Posted November 16, 2006 Report Share Posted November 16, 2006 epsom salts help with fluid problems (often used with popeye) aswell as constipation so it might be worth a shot? im not sure if bettas are sensitve to it or not though :-?
