SpidersWeb
That would all be fine until the Discus get to maturity. Unless those discus are male and female and magically form a pair, chances are they will fight. For discus you really need 5 or 6, and then you wouldn't really have room for your other fish except perhaps the cardinals. Also danios aren't good with discus as they're too fast and can upset/stress the discus.

Wok
once again it comes down to what filtration you have in place.
sharn
and the space requirements due to territories etc. discus are cichlids and even though they cant do much physical damage to one another they can get pretty nasty- relentless hassling by pecking, pushing, chasing etc. the tank doesnt sound too heavily stocked as most of those fish are quite small. i would look at losing some of the fish that you only have a few of ie rosy barbs and replacing them with more cardinals etc. once they reach full size you may find you are having problems space wise and water wise but until then you should be fine
ljtan55
Temperature wise, I dunno about some of the fish you want, but guppies, danios, platies like cooler temps, whereas cardinals + discus need higher water temps. But hey I dunno if its a big deal, I had goldfish in a 27 degree "coldwater" tank in summer My 255L has 7 discus, 10 cardinals, 1 queen arab pleco, 4 otos, 2 sae, 2 rams, 5 sterbai cories, 2 whiptails, and gabazillions of snails. But I've got 2 external filters. All happy, low nitrates, no gulping for air.
nicmack
Should I be using more than just the filtration system that comes standard with the Aqua One models? How many cycles do they go through a day and is it enough?
