cuviceps
Can anyone help? I have on good authority we have a white eel that lives in our stream/creek. I have yet to see it but would be interested if anyone had seen one - I assume it is a short finned eel. Would it be old to be white(like a lot of other creatures get with age) or just white? Goldie
a long time ago, I saw a white eel which my Dad had fished from the creek and that is the only one I have ever heard off. I will too little to know if it was an albino or old or...............
Caryl
Albinos are rare but not unheard of in many animals, eels included. A few bright yellow ones have also been found but they lose the yellow as they get older. Most albinos don't survive in the wild as their lack of colour makes them stand out so they become easy prey. Chris.L
I saw 2 Albino Eels in Australia. On the sheet it had these are very rare, and don't survive in the wild as they are easy targets. do u know how big it is? if u want to see it, drop a container of blood in the creek and it should come up.
