PacificBeauty
The tubes on our AquaOne CF700 have become blocked with a clear, glue-like gunk and covered in green spots What's the clear stuff and any ideas on how to clean the things out, they're rather long? Tsarmina
bottle brush? pipe cleaners?
jude
Can you take them outside and blast a hose through them? Use a bottle brush securely tied to a string and pull it through the pipe? Ummmmm - if I have any more brainwaves I'll let you know    Cheers Jude
PacificBeauty
Tried the hose, it wouldn't budge the clear stuff Might try the bottle brush, though I've got to get the string through it first - easier said than done though
TimTam22
Hot water, will soften the hose if it doesn't move the gunk and then you can 'work' the hose to get it out. How did it get in there?
fishboi
u can get special tube cleaners. its basically a spring steel with a bottle brush at either end. cost around $6 at ur LFS
jude
If the string won't go through, tie it to stiff wire and push that through first - maybe
Discusguru
Stuff some filter floss (white stuff) into the hose and get something to puss it through the hose a couple of times and it'll be clean as. Fill the hose with water first to soften the gunk. Ron
Damiana
If it won't clear out, just snip the silly thing off at the blockage. There's usually a bit of slack. If its not long enough, just get some more tubing at the LFS. Its cheap.
